Outdoor Gong Bath & Solstice Sound Retreat in Wales
Join us for a sacred Summer Solstice weekend of sound healing, vibration, and connection in South West Wales.
I’ve had my fair share of gong baths over the years — beautiful experiences in village halls, yoga studios, and even our own 8m bell tent. But this year, for the first time ever, we’re doing something different. Something that’s been calling me for a long while…
We’re taking the gongs outside — into the Hazel Grove, among the trees, with the birdsong above and the soft earth beneath. This is a true outdoor gong bath in nature, held on sacred land in South West Wales.
It’s part of our very first Sounds of Solstice Gathering — a weekend dedicated entirely to sound healing, vibration, and celebration of the Summer Solstice. And let me tell you… I cannot wait.
If the weather plays along (and yes, we’re good at holding the rain when we need to 😉), we’ll be setting up this incredible gong bath woodland experience right there in the woods. And me? I’ve already decided I’m dragging my hammock out of the shed and stringing it between the trees.
Because lying in a hammock, in the dappled light, letting those waves of sound roll through my body and the forest around me… it just feels like the icing on the cake.
And you’re welcome to do the same!
Bring your own hammock if that calls to you — there’ll be plenty of trees and space to make it happen. (Just to be clear though: hammocks aren’t provided, so it’s strictly a BYOH kinda vibe.)
But the weekend isn’t just about the forest gong bath.
It’s about sound, in all its sacred, healing, joyful forms.
What’s Included in the Sounds of Solstice Gathering:
- 🎶 Chant and raise your voice in sacred song
- 🌀 Go on an inner dance within the body — an exploratory journey with sound and vibration that moves through you, wakes you up, and settles you all at onceOur Inner Dance session will be held by the incredible Hayley Beasley-Wade, whose sessions are renowned for their deep emotional release, intuitive movement, and beautiful facilitation. Her presence brings something raw, real, and powerfully freeing. This isn’t about learning steps — it’s about remembering how to listen to your body and let it move.
- 🐍 Experience a Shamanic Journeying session with Helena Eagles — a gifted guide in soul-led, earth-based healing practices. Shamanic journeying is a form of guided inner travel using rhythm, sound, and intention to access wisdom, insight, and connection to spiritual guidance. Often accompanied by the steady beat of a drum or rattle, it allows participants to shift into a meditative state and receive messages, healing, or clarity.Helena holds a strong, grounded space that invites deep insight and connection. Her shamanic work is rooted in nature, guided by spirit, and woven with the rhythms of the land. You can learn more about her work on her website
- 🔥 Drum and take part in a shamanic celebration of Solstice around the campfire.
- 🌳 Rest beneath the trees in our outdoor gong bath — a deep, cellular healing experienceThe gong bath is one of the most profoundly healing tools we have. As the vibrations ripple through your body, they work on a cellular level — helping to release stored stress, unblock stagnant energy, and bring your entire system back into balance. Sound waves from the gongs can slow the brainwaves into a deeply relaxed state, supporting nervous system reset, improved sleep, and emotional release.
In our Hazel Grove, this experience becomes even more powerful. You’re not in a hall or studio — you’re lying on the earth, held by the roots of ancient trees, bathed in sunlight and birdsong, as the gongs sing through you.
Whether you’re new to gong baths or you’ve experienced them before, there’s nothing quite like receiving this vibration out on the land, under the open sky. It’s grounding, awakening, and deeply nourishing in ways that are hard to explain until you’ve felt it for yourself.
- 🎤 Take part in the Sacred Voice Medicine Ceremony with Kerry Marie (aka Sipsi Sings on Instagram) — Join us in sacred circle this Summer Solstice as we gather to honour the turning of the wheel and awaken the ancient medicine within our voices. In this Sacred Voice Medicine Ceremony, you are invited to co-create a ceremonial soundscape — a space where your voice becomes a vessel for healing, empowerment, and connection. Through chanting and vocal toning, we’ll unlock the pathways of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, calling upon the wisdom of our breath, our ancestors, and the natural world.
Then we surrender — lying back to receive channeled healing through drum and voice from Sipsi Medicine Woman. Her sacred song and rhythms will weave through the space, carrying us into remembrance, release, and deep restoration.
✨ What to Expect: 🌿 Intention setting & ceremonial opening
🌿 Guided vocal activation, chanting & toning
🌿 Group co-creation of a healing sound field
🌿 Channeled drum & voice medicine by Sipsi
🌿 A gentle movement practice — likely incorporating elements of Qi Gong — to gently awaken the body and energy before we lie back and receive the sound. Kerry has beautifully tuned into the energy of the weekend and felt this movement would offer a needed balance between rest and flow.
🌿 Closing with space to share - 🧘 Greet each morning with yoga in nature, guided by Scotty Leigh-Janney — a gifted and grounded teacher who brings presence, calm, and connection into every movement. Scotty will be leading us through gentle Kundalini-inspired yoga practices that help open the body, align energy, and start each day with clarity and intention. His sessions will take place outdoors, surrounded by birdsong, fresh air, and the ancient mountain energy beneath your feet.
- ✨ Be still. Be nourished. Be re-tuned.
We’ll also be having a truly special outdoor sound bath led by Holly Swinton — a deeply intuitive, heart-led practitioner whose presence alone brings calm, connection, and a sense of returning to self. Holly is a truly beautiful soul, and her work with sound is infused with ancient wisdom and soft power.
Her session will feature a stunning combination of drums, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, rain sticks, shells, chimes, voice, and handpan. Held under the trees, this is not just about hearing sound — it’s about being held by it. It’s about feeling it move through your entire being and opening something ancient within you.
Expect to be moved, expect to rest, expect to remember something wordless and wild inside you. Holly’s sound bath is a gift — and we are so honoured to have her with us.
This is a true sound healing retreat — a weekend of reconnection to self, to nature, to community, and to the ancient seasonal rhythms that guide us.
And it all happens before the solstice itself — so that when the longest day arrives, you’ll already be aligned, rested, and deeply attuned to the new season coming in.
We’ve never offered anything quite like this before, and it feels so deeply needed.
So if your body’s tingling reading this…
If your heart’s pulling you gently toward something more sacred, more grounded, more real…
Then maybe this is your invitation.
Bring your tent or campervan, your voice, your bare feet, and (if you fancy it) your hammock.
Children under 16 are always free, as always with our gatherings.
And the land is ready to hold you.
